Alison Edwards
Music Therapist
Alison is a music therapist who joined Dynamic Music Therapy from the East Coast. She earned her degree in Music Therapy with a minor in Psychology from Temple University and holds a certificate in American Sign Language. Alison is excited to bring her skills, creativity, and passion for expanding access to music therapy services to northwestern Wisconsin.
She completed her clinical internship at the Young Children's Center for the Arts in Philadelphia, specializing in early childhood development. There, she supported children ages 6 months to 6 years in areas related to learning, cognitive and behavioral growth, and communication. Alison also has experience using songwriting, improvisation, and music-supported relaxation to support children with cerebral palsy and adults with neurodegenerative conditions.
Alison uses a client-centered, strengths-based approach to create safe and engaging therapeutic environments. She brings a deep enthusiasm for learning and connection, as well as a wide range of musical skills—including guitar, ukulele, piano, percussion, and advanced training in violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
In her free time Alison enjoys crafting, skiing, and trying different recipes!
